Barton Community College honored 25 employees during an All-College Forum in October, recognizing them for their years of service to the College. Human Resources director Julie Knoblich presented the awards for five, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 35 years of service.

Recognized for 35 years of service was Barton’s Executive Director of Workforce Operations LaVonne Gerritzen. Honored for 25 years were Head Cheerleading Coach Debbie Warren, Head Baseball Coach Mike Warren and Promotions Specialist Dee Ann Smith.

Recognized for 20 years were Groundskeeper II and Head Women’s Golf Coach Doug Kaiser, Mechanical Systems Supervisor Chris Boeger and Nursing Instructor Brenda Glendenning.

Honored for 15 years of service were Advisement Coordinator Karen Kratzer, Public Relations Specialist Linda Jerke and English Instructor (ITV) Teresa Johnson.

Receiving 10-year awards were Sociology Instructor Ed Johnson, Payroll Clerk Kristi Suppes, Medical Lab Technician Instructor/Clinical Coordinator Judy Miller, Art Instructor Bill Forst, Help Desk Coordinator/Systems Specialist Kevin Murphy, Testing Coordinator Lisa Peterson, Customer Service Representative Linda Chisholm and Custodian I Carol Hammeke.

Recognized for five years of service were Technical Support Analyst Bill Williams, Workforce Development Training Coordinator Kala Steffen, Math Instructor Jo Harrington, Head Men’s Golf Coach Steve Gotsche, Central Kansas Upward Bound Project Director Patrick Busch, EA Technical Support Specialist Ronnie Dean and Facility Management Secretary Heather Helvie.

Barton’s service award honorees received a certificate of appreciation and a catalog for selecting a gift to commemorate their years of service.

25 years of service

15 years of service
